The Story of AirHood
Our journey started back in 2019 with an invention by French designer Maxime Augay. He wanted to fulfill a personal need for a product that acts like a range hood; filtering cooking fumes, without any installation required. This led to his groundbreaking and award winning design, creating the first portable “AirHood” prototype. It caught the eye of Markus Buck, working in the kitchen appliance industry in Hong Kong. In 2022, we launched our product on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, and raised more than half a million US dollars, signaling that there was a real demand for our innovative solution. We are now onto our 2nd version of the original AirHood and will continue to work on enhancing and perfecting our small yet powerful kitchen air cleaner.
In 2023, we officially entered the market with AirHood on our own online store, building the brand, expanding our capabilities and focus to broader kitchen solutions. We have listened closely to our customers and continue to develop products to fulfill the needs of all home kitchens. Form and function, while maintaining high-end design, is at the forefront of our inventions. For example our storage container boxes being glass gives it an elevated look while also contributing to the reheating functionality. Our induction cooker is thinner and lighter for easier storage and better portability with a sleeker look.
